Description

The Kum Long Point Sharpener AS2 is a single hole (8mm) sharpener that shapes the wood, then the lead. An automatic brake prevents over-shaping/sharpening.

A long point sharpener is used for creating an extra-long, slender tip on a pencil. The Kum Long Point Sharpener is ideal for detailed drawing, sketching, and technical illustration. The long point provides more control and precision for fine linework compared to a standard sharpener. Many long point sharpeners use a two-stage process, where one hole sharpens the wood and a second hole sharpens the lead. This sharpener has an automatic brake to prevent over-sharpening. 

Includes 2 spare blades. For more consistent use or light classroom situations use the Kent Art Sharpener. For the high volume sharpening demand that is often the case for the classroom situation use the Ledah Electric Sharpener. This sharpener does not create the long point but copes with high demand.
