Wood Burning Kit Components and Setup:

• Wood Burning Pen: A tool with interchangeable tips of various shapes for different line widths, shading, and lettering.
• Safety Stand: A metal stand to hold the hot pen when not in use.
• Wood Surface: Typically includes softwood like basswood or pine slices.
• Transfer Material: Graphite or carbon paper used to transfer designs onto the wood.
• Optional Items: Sanding paper to clean tips, pliers for changing hot tips, and sealer to finish the piece.

Tips for Success:

• Choose the Right Wood: Use light-coloured, soft, and smooth-grained wood (like basswood) for best results, avoiding wood knots.
• Practice First: Use scrap wood to get comfortable with the heat and pressure, as the tool works best with a slow and steady motion.
• Safety First: Use pliers to change tips when hot and always work in a well-ventilated area.
