Description
Transfer Mungyo Gallery Water Soluble crayons into beautiful watercolours with a simple brush and water. Disperse the colour by running a wet brush over the drawing turning it into a watercolour. Use Mungyo Gallery Water Soluble Crayons which are brilliant, mixable colours that are non toxic in 3 set sizes. Set of 12, set of 24 and set of 36. As an alternative try Neocolor II oil pastels.
Dry Use:
- Use the crayons directly on paper, just like regular crayons.
- Dry application is a good method for creating detailed lines, textures, or making marks on a dry surface.
Wet Use:
- Activate on paper: To activate drawing or colouring with the dry crayon use a wet paintbrush to go over the marks. This will dissolve the pigment creating a watercolour effect on the paper.
- Dip the crayon: Dip the tip of the crayon directly into water. This will make the crayon creamy and allow you to draw with a thick, watercolour-like paint consistency.
- Use as a palette: Scrape some pigment from the crayon onto a palette (or a separate surface). Use a wet paintbrush on the swatch to pick up the colour and use it like traditional watercolour paint.
- Combine techniques: Try blending dry colours directly into wet areas, or applying thick layers of dry colour and using water to blend and smooth the edges.
