Description

Modelling armature wire rolls are a highly flexible malleable wire. They are used to create the internal skeleton or structural support for sculptures in Modroc Plaster Bandage Rolls (Modwrap),  paper mache and clay figurines.

The modelling armature wire rolls are made from soft annealed aluminium. It is rustproof, non-toxic, easy to bend by hand, and holds its shape perfectly once manipulated. Available in 1.6mm & 3mm diameter in round and 5mm wide in flat. The length of the rolls are different depending on the width and shape of the roll.

• 1.6mm (Fine): Ideal for small figurines, delicate details (like fingers or insect legs), or wrapping around thicker wires to give clay more grip.
• 3mm (Medium): The most versatile size for tabletop human or animal figurines (up to 30cm tall). It can still be easily bent with your hands but provides sturdy support.
