Mixed media paper is good for artists who use a combination of wet and dry art supplies.  The paper, with its durable, versatile surface can handle multiple layers of mediums without warping or bleeding through. It works well for techniques like watercolour, acrylic, coloured pencil, pen, and collage. It has a forgiving surface that allows for blending, correcting mistakes, and layering.

What mixed media paper is good for:

Using a variety of mediums: Its versatility makes it ideal for artists who like to experiment with different materials in a single piece.  You might like to try combining paints, pencils, and markers to create a variety of textures..

Wet and dry media: It is formulated to handle both wet applications like watercolours and acrylics. It is also great for dry media such as coloured pencils, charcoal, and pastels.

Layering and blending: The durable paper can withstand multiple layers of paint, allowing for techniques like gessoing. Also applying masking tape for clean edges, and blending colours easily.

Learning new skills: Great for beginners, as it is a forgiving and a less expensive alternative to specialized watercolour paper. This makes it a great surface for practicing techniques and building confidence.

Durability: The paper is more durable than sketch paper. This prevents mediums from bleeding through, resisting warping from water.

Longevity: Artists can ensure their work lasts by choosing acid-free or pH-neutral mixed media paper, which prevents the paper from deteriorating over time.
