Matisse MM8 Spreader Medium is a water soluble paint lubricant with unusual flow characteristics and strong moisture retention properties. It dries to a clear, transparent finish and is most useful in glazing techniques. Matisse MM8 Spreader Medium is a transparent flowing paste. It dries fairly “flat” and, when dry, can hardly be discerned on a painted or unpainted area. The main application is for glazing where it imparts fine flow and controlled spread ability and lubrication to the paint. When using, the medium does not dry waterproof and can be used as an intermediary between two partially dried paint films.
