Description

Use Caligo Safe Wash Relief Printing Ink for all relief techniques including woodcut, linocut, monotype, engraving and Solarplate. An artist quality block printing ink which is oil based but with soap and water wash up capabilities. Use on perspex or glass  to create monoprints.

Caligo Safe Wash Relief Colours listed are in 250gm tins and black is available in 250gm & 500gm tins also in a 150ml tube.

How it is used:

• Relief printing: Use for all types of relief printing, particularly where the printing surface is raised, like linocuts, woodcuts, and wood engravings. It is also suitable for photopolymer and letterpress printing.
• Clean-up: The “Safe Wash” feature means that tools, plates, and hands can be cleaned with liquid soap and water. This makes it safer and easier to clean-up compared to traditional oil-based inks that require solvents.
• Working properties: With rich colour and excellent working time, its slow drying properties allow for a smooth roll-out. Allows artists to work at their own pace.
