RGM Lino Tools are made with hardened steel.  They have a shock-resistant fibreglass handle that is thermally attached and reinforced with a brass containment ferrule. The prestige sharpened blade is ideal for use in fine arts schools. Lino tools come in different shapes with Medium V, Large V, Medium U, Large U and straight. The set of 5 contains a sharpening stone.  Excellent for Lino cutting.

• Carving designs: Use Lino Tools to carve a mirror image of your design into the linoleum. The parts of the lino that are carved away will not print, leaving the raised areas to be inked.
• Making prints: After carving, ink is rolled onto the raised surface, and a print is made by pressing the inked lino onto paper or fabric.
• Creating different line widths: The angle and pressure you use can affect the line width. V-tools can create a variety of lines with the same tool, while U-tools create more uniform lines and remove large areas.
• Clearing large areas: Use the Larger U-shaped gouges to scoop out and flatten areas of the lino.
• Fine detail work: For creating detail use the smaller, more precise V and U tools.
